Meet Ms Lucy Lou

Some may remember Mr. Tweeters, the little bird that landed in our back yard last year and become our beloved family pet.  He was an awesome addition to our family.  I would have never bought one.  I have never had own a bird, much less handle one of any kind.  But it seemed our own little miracle that he found us and become so close to us.  You can imagine my horror when we came home from Church Easter Sunday and we couldn't find Mr Tweeters.  We searched high and low for him,  it was odd for him not to be chirping.  We were devastated to find that he drowned in my fish tank. Kandace and I were both crushed.  I even tried CPR on the little bird, but it was to late.  My daughter grabbed the bird from me and ran out side screaming for an Easter Miracle please God resurrect my bird.  She was so tore up over it.   It was the saddes ting i had ever seen.  I searched everywhere for a replacement bird, although no one will ever take Mr tweeters place in either of our hearts we had to have another one to love...  It took me all of a week to find her, but we now are loving teaching Ms Lucy all the cool things we taught Mr tweeters, and so far ms Lucy doesn't have all the bad annoying habits Mr tweeters did, she doesn't chew up paper, she shits a whole lot less that he did, lol, that's a huge plus,  she lets us reach in her cage, he would go crazy and bite thru flesh to defend his cage.  she will even cuddle in my breast and go to sleep no Mr tweeters who I nick named pecker head cause he was so bad at times.  like I said I will always miss him, him and all his bad habits, cause he picked us it was something special.  but I am really enjoying Ms Lucy and all her calmness.

It's great to hear from you.  How come your back to writing in this journal?  Poor Mr. Tweeters.  I feel bad for your girls.

Aww, so sorry about Mr Tweeters. I know one bird won't replace another, but I think it makes it a little easier when one dies and you have another to distract you.

Good to see you. Have fun teaching Ms Lucy all the fun stuff!
